> EMPIRE
There is not a period in French history as characteristically defined by the splendour of its uniforms as the First Empire ! As costume designers, it could only be of the highest interest to us.
We are able to make almost any model of uniform or of other outfit from the First Empire. We own the necessary literature and we are constantly in touch with recognised specialists of this period. Our fabrics come from England (no hard feelings), our buttons and accessories are perfect replicas. Many reenactors have already enlisted our services.

EPAULETTES, FRENCH EMPIREWe can do any kind of epaulette, ask us! |
FIRST EMPIRE RIFLES AND PISTOLSWe propose 2 types of copies: First one for low prices are made with "looking like" iron and are approximatives, they will fit beginners in re-enactment and actors for theatre and even movies. Second types are made as original types but there is no hole to make the powder burning, so you cannot shoot with them. |
BRAID, FIRST EMPIREA small selection of some braids... |
GLOVESSometime forgotten in reenactmets, they were an important part of miltary equipment. We shall progressively offer different items. |
CARTRIDGE POUCHES AND COWSKIN PACKSLes giberbes servaient à contenir les cartouches. |
WAISTCOATSVery rich or plain, choose your type, in accordance with period and regulations |
GRENADESDo your choice! |
PLUMES AND feathersDuring this period most of helmets and hats were topped by plumes. Napoleon was not especially smaller than his soldiers, but he was often surrounded by "grenadiers de la garde", who were minimum 1,80 m high and topped by bear hat with plumes that make them 2,60 m high. At this time the emperor was effectively looking like a "petit caporal"! Horsehair was used for helmets . |
SABRES AND SWORDS , SEMI INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTIONUnder this heading you can find the Napoleonic soldier's basic weapons such as the Infantry Sabre Briquet or the Cutlass Sabre, but also some very fine weapons outstandingly replicated down to the markings matching exactly those of that time. |
SABRES AND SWORDS, NAPOLEONIC PERIOD, LIMITED SERIESOriginal sabres are so expensive that we propose now copies of sabres, done piece by piece, of rare sabres. We can make very specific types mixing different copies of original pieces, but always corresponding to real assortments of this period. |
