Cuirassier sabre, an XIII type, aout 1814
Bronze guard and blade well stamped.
Good straight blade 955 mm long, peak modified in 1816, stamps of Lobstein (1804-1821) in Klingenthal and Bick (from 1812).
On back of blade: "Mfture Rle Du Klingenthal aout 1814".
This sabre was produced during the short period of 1st restoration and then during 100 jours and later, a very interesting period when France had to suffer great events.
Scabbard is probably not the original one (price in accordance), this type of sabre was used in french cavalry during Empire period, and till second half of 19 th century.
Scabbard could be changed along time.
Length : 1120 mm.
