Marine sword for senior officer. Consulat/ Empire, prairial an XII regulation type
Rare sword introduced at the end of Consulat for senior officers of french marine.
Very similar with swords for general of infantry..
Pommel is still an helmet...but with scales!,
You can see Nepture and an anchor on lower part of hilt and also an anchor on guard.
Total length, blade 81 cm. No scabbard. Only one for sale.
