This saber is inspirated from the one of general Andreas Graf Hadik (1710 - 1790), he was Field's marshall of the Habsburg Empire . Can also fit an hussard officer of french empire.
More than 200 years old, so it can be "tired". But good piece for collection.
The scabbard is made of brass, with a core made of wood and covered with black leather.
Rare with his sword holder.
Made during XIX th century for theatre, inspired by antic swords, as swords for revolutionary "école de Mars". So it looks like some productions of revolution...but sorry, it is not! But it is obviously nice inside a collection of antic swords...
Scabbard in bad condition, but 180 years old.... However a nice piece at they could be in French marine, small price

This was kind of the "Swiss knife" of the Empire soldier. For line infantry troop.
Old stock of knives, very similar to knives used for exchanges in colonies. Longest blades Engraved "Acier forgé, taurin, Made in France", with a bull.
On the outside, this sabre looks like a real cutlass from the First Empire, with palmette-shaped hilt. Unfortunately, the blade is a little too narrow, which cannot be seen from the outside. This blade is resistant to reduced impacts during planned combats, so that the weapon can be used during battles involving a large number of people to "make up the numbers", without spending too much money !
Genuine XIX th century blade deeply cleaned. Total length 96 cm. Blade length 82 cm. Only one for sale.
Type of guard used from end of XVIII th century till after Empire. Does not fit for re enactment, no rings on scabbard, strange blade....cheap. We use to propose a cheap sabre for movies, theater ...etc, this is the one we have choosen.
Copy of a genuine one that we had on stock. Flexible blade, very light, sabre weigth is less than 600 grammes without scabbard. We especially worked on sabre weigth, this is a point which makes usually the difference between genuine pieces and copies. Engravings are similar with original, nice copy of a plain but symbolic weapon.
We plan to produce a new sabre, more close to original productions, before april Also for American Civil War, polish army before 1939....etc. Cannot be used for combat. Not expensive and ornemental.

Guiseppe Radaelli, 19th century Milanese fencer of the northern Italian school, is noted for the development of modern sabre play with a light, narrow-bladed weapon. Radaelli was a teacher of mounted troops and was concerned exclusively with the military use of the sabre. The Radaelli Sabre (SH2200) is replicated from an original piece with remarkable balance, durability, and swiftness. . The hilt design developed by Radaelli has been reproduced in our fencing sabre SH220, with a stainless steel guard & a wire-wrapped imitation sharkskin grip. The high-carbon flex-tempered steel blade closely follows the proportions of the period and is button-tipped for safety. A replacement blade (OH2264) is available for the Radaelli Sabre.
Special production for belgian "marcheurs" or for theater or movie.White leather is protected by a thin plastic lay. We can also make these items with thick white leather for re enactment
