This gown has been inspired by 2 costumes from Kyoto's museum collections.
It's a good illustration of what could be achieved for women under the Empire.

On nous a dit parfois: "Vous êtes très fort sur les uniformes, mais pas sur les tenues de femmes!"
Et oui, on a eu des commandes pour des centaines d'uniformes et on a ainsi pu prouver ce qu'on savait faire.
Notre clientèle de reconstitueurs étant essentiellement masculin nous n'avons pas eu beaucoup d'occasions de montrer nos talents en réalisant de belles robes....Mais on ne demande que ça!
Surtout au niveau de l'atelier où faire des tenus de femmes, ça change.

Made from the painting of Gerard, this is the copy of Maria Valewska dress, except vertical part of belt found( by our customer)
Maria Valewska was the"polish wife" of Napoléon. They had a child together and she visited him even after the Empire fall, in Elba, while Marie Louise was in love with another man.

We cut inside a ceremonial cloak made in India to re create a dress as used in Napoleonic courts.

This kind of hat existed during the Empire period, and it kept reappearing all along the 19th century, according to what was fashionable at that moment. It can be worn as such,you can change yourself ribbon for another colour, or you can also cover it with fabric to make it a hat for an elegant woman.

Dresses from napoleon's crowning

This order was made especially for the pleasure of recreating these beautiful items, showing the splendours of the Empire ! The Emperor's cloak was recreated from preliminary works we received and from paintings by David, Ingres, etc. The embroidery was hand-made, with golden thread on red velvet, only the "N" are made of silver thread. It is lined with flecked white fur (it's fake fur, but of a great quality).

Indicated price is for a jacket made with standard melton, buttons covered with cloth.

Normally not for napoleonic era, bus so many re enactors used them for this period that we sell these shirts also.
It is thin and does not take too much place under your jacket.

Shirt Morgane Empire

Cotton and linen shirt.
The shape of this shirt is not quite Empire but the fabric and the collar suit quite well if you want to wear it under a jacket.

Alright, it's not right to sale that kind of shirt for re-enactment but the shirt Morgane is made of a thin and fine fabric that takes very little space underneath the outfit.
What's more, the part that you can see (the collar) has the right cut.
So as long as you don't remove the jacket or the vest everything is alright.
And usually you don't take off your clothes on a battlefield (or during a ball).
At the bivouac you can put on an overall, much thicker.

An interesting waistcoat matching well with the spirit of those times, the outfits for civilisians were based on military outfits. It's not a mistake if we don't mention the sizes available, please state your waist and chest sizes in the commentary section (at the end of the order form).
