A model very similar to the final versions from the First Empire.
The main difference lies in the vertical positioning of the two ribbon ends beneath the laurel wreath.
Following the proclamation of the Second Empire, small eagles replaced the palm fronds on the crown surmounting the cross.
Dimensions: 40 x 40 mm (excluding the crown). The enamel requires restoration; cold-enameling techniques exist—such as those used to repair damaged antique bathtubs—that can be employed for this purpose.
