Brass numbers, emboidery style, red or blue, 17/18 mm, for caps and collar tabs. VERY Limited OLD stock. Price per unit.
In the stock of the David company, active from 1848, we found brass numerals painted in red and also in blue.
Each badge has a thin brass mounting pin on the back that can easily be cut in half to fold it over the back.
SOLD AS IS. These figures may be a century old, the paint may be a little chipped, we are selling them as they are. No claim will be accepted
These badges were used to indicate regimental numbers for troops changing assignments or for re-enlisted sergeants, particularly on kepis. This avoids having to remove the kepi to change the number; the embroidery is simply undone and replaced with a badge.
Some numerals are completely missing from the stock.
6 and 9 are represented by the same numeral; simply rotate it to obtain both options.
