Command sash for a Divisional General serving as Commander-in-Chief; (very) large size, adjustable, brand new! Suitable for a Marshal
Command sashes are typically gold striped with red for *généraux de division* (division generals), except when they are commanding an army as commander-in-chief.
In that case, they wear the same sash as the Marshals: gold and white.
The distinction lies in the fact that the medallions at the ends of the sash gradually came to feature crossed batons for Marshals; however, in the early Empire, it was not uncommon for a Marshal to wear a sash adorned with stars.
This sash has never been worn; the excess length beyond the originally intended size was never trimmed off.
It can therefore accommodate a length of up to 140 cm, though the fastening loops are currently positioned for a 100 cm waist measurement (at navel level).
You can easily have new ones fitted if you wish.
