Presentation case containing the three Napoleonic orders: Legion of Honour, Order of the Reunion, and Order of the Iron Crown. Only one set available.
Of the three orders created and awarded by Emperor Napoleon I, only one has endured: the Order of the Legion of Honour.
This set includes a replica of the First Type.
The Order of the Iron Crown was primarily awarded to Italian citizens; however, alongside the Legion of Honour, it was also appropriate to recognize certain French nationals, and a number of them received this decoration as well. We offer here a Knight-class medal. Following the fall of the Empire, the Iron Crown was replaced by an Austrian version and later an Italian one.
The Order of the Reunion was created to replace and succeed the Order of the Union, which had been established by Napoleon’s brother Louis—the short-lived King of Holland.
The model we offer here would typically bear the inscriptions "Napoléon" on one side of the crown's base and "Fondateur" on the other; however, the specific example used for this set is marked "Napoléon" on both sides.
We feel it is important to point this out, though the set remains highly appealing, especially given that we currently have no suppliers capable of producing decorations that meet our quality standards.
