Embroidery character made for the Russian market, by Ets David at the beginning of the Second Empire.
The clothes are made of embroidered fabric, the face, hands and feet are made of paper.
The face is reported, as is done on icons.
It is probably the Virgin Mary, blue and white being the Marian colors.
This work comes from Établissements David, active from 1848 to the end of the 1950s.
