Field writing pad

Made at the very beginnig of 18 th century.
In the tube, sold empty today, were, pens, a small bottle of ink and a small bottle of sand to dry ink.
Dark green leather was the flat part where to write.
Tube 26 cm x 3,5. Rolled leather 25 X 26 cm.
Outer part changed of colour because of exposition at light, inner is as new.
Good global condition.
Such a field writing pad is exposed in Emperi museum and described page 73 of book "Les trésors de l'empéri"
