This uniform was created at the request of a recently deceased client who had assembled a private mini-museum featuring uniforms from units that are rarely documented; we tailored these specifically to his measurements (1.75 m tall, 104 cm chest, 90 cm waist).
We purchased the entire collection from his heir and are now re-listing several uniforms that had been reserved by a customer who was ultimately unable to complete the purchase due to health issues.
The price includes: coat with epaulettes, waistcoat, and hat
There are relatively few sources available regarding this uniform... and, as is often the case, they sometimes contradict one another.
We have made arbitrary choices in some instances, while leaving the decision to the client in others—bearing in mind that, at the time, variations could exist within a single regiment depending on the supplier or the colonel's personal whims.
A coat from the 1st Regiment, held by the Army Museum and described by Rigo in *Tradition Magazine* (Issue No. 192), is described as follows: the collar, lapels, and cuffs are not piped. In contrast, Weiland depicts a uniform with white piping, while other authors show the piping in the color of the regimental facings...

To create this uniform, we drew heavily on the Girbal illustration accompanying Hourtoulle’s Plate No. 33, which features:

A red coat, as well as red cuff flaps for the *fusiliers* (information on this latter detail is sometimes contradictory, but we have opted for this configuration).
The coat tails are very long for this period.
