Orange ribbon with green border, 110 mm large, 160 cm long. Colour is the exact colour, compared with original ribbons protected from light.

As king of Italy Napoleon was crowned with the "iron crown" of the lombards kings.
On 5th june 1805 was instaured the decoration of the Iron Crown, till end of Empire.
Then it was replaced by an austrian decoration, and an italian decoration from 1866.
So this decoration existed a long time after his creation, with different names and aspects..
