Infantry grenadier saber, 1767 type, re-engraved blade, new scabbard.

Blade is too clean to be completetely original.
We can see traces of circular polishing, which could only have been made with an electric polishing tool, therefore recent, and such treatment is hardly compatible with the depth of the engravings, too marked for a highly polished blade. So the blade seems to have been re-engraved...
All the engravings that one would expect to find are of course present. We see that the saber is not very young, the base is from the period.
The scabbard has disappeared, we put a new one for use in reconstruction, knowing that such sabers could have been used until the revolution.
