Marine, officer Louis Philippe period(1830-1848), sabre for senior officer. Replacement scabbard
Very rare type of sabre for senior marine officer, described (1 and half pages, 285 and 286) in book "Les sabres portés par l'armée française " of Jean Lhoste, ref 520.
Very nice chisellings, especially anchor.
Goldplated brass
Handle in wood, no filigranee (it never existed on this type)

We had this sabre without scabbard, we added one, to protect blade, you can keep it or not.
Price would be much more higher with its original blade.
Total length 90 cm, blade 76,5 cm stamped " J.J. Bisch à Boersh et Klingenthal", quite an unusual signature.
