Medal of chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur, usual size. Présidence period
A model very similar to the final versions from the First Empire.
The main difference lies in the vertical positioning of the two ribbon ends beneath the laurel wreath.
Under the First Empire, these ends were angled at approximately 45 degrees.
The Presidency period lasted from December 10, 1851, to December 2, 1852—a relatively short span.
Following the proclamation of the Second Empire, small eagles replaced the palm fronds on the crown surmounting the cross.
Dimensions: 45 x 45 mm (excluding the crown). Some enamel loss; original ribbon, though slightly short.
