Sashes for general de brigade. Fashioned from a Third Republic sash. As new.
To create this sash, we used a high-quality sash dating from the Third Republic—far superior to current Pakistani-made versions.
We replaced the traditional Third Republic-style tassels with Greek-shield-shaped ends, each featuring two stars (the insignia of a brigadier general) and gold bullion braiding.
Typically, this type of sash was worn tied in a large knot at the side; this specific sash does not come with the knot tied, and the price reflects this.
You may, of course, have the knot tied yourself at your own expense. Period documents show this type of sash tied in a casual, loose style ("à la diable") over the uniforms of heavy cavalry generals—such as those commanding cuirassiers or carabiniers. In such cases, the sash can be worn as-is by wrapping it twice around the waist. The woven section of the sash measures 3 meters.
