Uniform of Dorsenne. Price including epaulettes, 2 breast stars, and aiguillettes
Dorsenne was a dandy, who passed hours everyday to curl his hair and adjust his especially well cut uniforms.
During Essling battle in 1809, 3 horses were killed under him and he was deeply wounded.
In june 1812, he leaded Imperial guard in Spain. He was still so affected by this precedent event that he had to suffer an undergone trepanation...he died some days later.
This uniform was created at the request of a recently deceased client who had assembled a private collection of uniforms from rarely documented military corps—pieces we tailored specifically to his measurements (1.75 m tall, 104 cm chest, 90 cm waist).
We purchased his entire collection from his heir and are now reselling several of the uniforms; these particular items had previously been reserved by a client who was ultimately unable to complete the purchase due to health issues.
The price includes the coat, epaulettes, aiguillettes and 2 breast stars: white eagle and Légion d'Honneur. The hanging medals and the waistcoat are not included.
